Oculus Quest 3 Review: The Best VR technology in The World

Oculus Quest 3 Review: The Best VR technology in the world

As a tech enthusiast and a gadget lover, I got to try the new Oculus Quest 3 VR headset. It’s the latest version after the popular Quest 2. The Quest 3 is better in many ways, including more power, storage, and comfort. It’s great for anyone curious about VR or AR. If you already have the Quest 2, it might be worth upgrading because of the improvements. The Quest 3 looks similar to the Quest 2 but feels more excellent. It’s a bit heavier but still comfy for long sessions. The screen looks better too, because of the new technology. Overall, it’s the best VR headset I’ve tested. The controllers have also been improved, making it easier to play games. I’m excited to see what excellent stuff developers will make for the Oculus Quest 3. Now, if you are also excited like me, I have shared my personal experience with the Oculus Quest 3 below.

Design And Comfort Of Oculus Quest 3:

Design And Comfort Of Oculus Quest 3:

The Oculus Quest 3 is a bit heavier than the Quest 2 but feels smaller. It’s only 2.2 inches deep from the front to the face mask, not 2.6 inches like the Quest 2. The sides of the white-grey part are rounded, so it looks more compact. There are four new cameras on the front for tracking and mixed reality. More cameras at the bottom might help track your whole body. The headband has elastic straps for comfort and can be adjusted in three places. You can get extra comfortable straps and accessories if you want. You can also change the distance between the lenses for better vision. If you wear glasses, you can buy special inserts for $49.99. The display is thinner and lighter, thanks to unique lenses. The new head strap is better and has elastic for a good fit. You can easily adjust how tight it is with a new system. The Quest 3 is more comfortable than the Quest 2, mainly if you use it for a long time. It might get sweaty and uncomfortable if you’re doing exercises. The slimmer design of the Quest 3 makes it easier to wear. You no longer need a spacer for glasses, and you can change the fit using the face part or the IPD wheel.

Oculus Quest 3 Performance And Specification:

Oculus Quest 3 Performance And Specification:

The Oculus Quest 3 is an upgrade over the Oculus 2. It has more pixels per eye, making things clearer when looking at VR stuff. Reading text on VR objects is easier because of its special lenses. The higher resolution helps you see small details better, which is great for writing or other tasks. The new Snapdragon XR2 chip inside is faster, giving you better graphics performance. I like the speed of this new Oculus. But it could be better than the newest game consoles. Still, it makes a big difference in how games look and run. The Quest 3 also has more RAM than the Quest 2, which helps things run smoother. The sound is louder, too, making your experience more immersive. I enjoy its audio quality while testing it. Compared to the  Quest 2, the Quest 3’s visuals are clearer and more impressive. It gives you vibrant colours and good contrast. The headset itself blocks out light well, making it feel more real. Whether playing games or using mixed reality, the Quest 3 responds quickly to your actions. Games on the Quest 3 look better than on the Quest 2, although they could be more realistic. Overall, the Quest 3 is a big step from previous models, making VR even more enjoyable.

It came out on October 10, 2023, after being announced earlier that year. Even though it’s got a lot of improvements over the Quest 2, it’s still a good deal at $499. Oculus Quest 3 Controllers:

Oculus Quest 3 Controllers:

The Oculus Quest 3 has new Touch Plus controllers without tracking rings. They’re comfy and easy to hold. I enjoy holding them because they feel very premium. These controllers have a two-stage trigger for precise controls. They give feedback with vibrations, but Quest Pro is more advanced. With upgraded sensors, you can use hand tracking. You move and interact without controllers. In the future, Oculus will make tracking better. It’ll include full-body and upper-body tracking. Hand tracking works well for most movements. But not perfect for subtle actions. Touch Plus controllers track all your activities. They give you a smooth experience. They have Tru-Touch Haptics for resistance feedback. Some want more robust feedback. You can also use hand tracking, called Direct Touch. It’s for navigating menus and some games. Hand tracking has advantages. But some prefer controllers for better control.
